Bowling Green Police arrested a man around 3 a.m. Thursday (Sept. 7), after a plastic bag with a white powdery substance reportedly fell out of his wallet when police asked to see his identification.
Jose Vargas Lomeli, 29, Bowling Green, was charged with possession of cocaine and taken to Wood County Jail.
Police also reportedly located a rolled-up dollar bill in his pants pocket.
BG Fire Division was called to the scene in the 200 block of State Street, out of concern that Lomeli might have overdosed. After he was cleared at the hospital, he was taken to Wood County Jail.
