BG Police arrest man for domestic violence and OVI refusal

A Bowling Green man was arrested for domestic violence on Saturday around 12:49 a.m., in the 600 block of Fifth Street.

Christopher C. Floyd, 30, was taken to Wood County Jail, after being charged for domestic violence and OVI refusal.

BG Police Dispatch received a 911 call from a woman who said Floyd broke a vase and threatened to kill her. The home was disheveled.

The woman told police that Floyd had injured his head earlier in the day during a fight in Toledo. Upon returning home to Bowling Green, he demanded the car keys, but the woman felt he was too intoxicated to drive. After being threatened, she reportedly gave him the keys.

An officer stopped Floyd on Manville Avenue and Sixth Street after reportedly seeing him cross the center line, swerve back and almost hit the curb. Floyd reportedly told police he was not driving – but he was the only person in the vehicle.

Floyd reportedly refused to take a breath test.
