Bowling Green Police Division arrested a Pemberville man on New Year’s Eve for improper transportation of firearms in a motor vehicle.
Police pulled over Andrew Feasel, 32, around 9 p.m. for having an expired registration.
As the officer got to the driver’s door, Feasel opened the door and said the window did not work. The officer saw a 1911 style handgun in the driver’s side door pouch, and placed it on the roof of the van.
When asked if he had a concealed carry license, Feasel reportedly said “Yeah, it’s called the Constitution.”
Feasel did not have a concealed carry license.
The officer noticed a holster peeking out under Feasel’s sweatshirt on his left hip. When asked if he had another firearm, Feasel reportedly pointed to the center console. This handgun was a 9mm Beretta with one round in the chamber and 16 rounds in the magazine. The 1911 style handgun was loaded with eight rounds, but nothing in the chamber.
Feasel was taken to the Wood County Jail. A family member came to pick up his child who was with him in the van.
