Bowling Green Police arrested an Indiana man early Sunday morning after he reportedly threatened to shoot staff at a downtown bar.
Joshua Bateman, 23, of Ashley, Indiana, was charged with aggravated menacing and taken to Wood County Jail.
Police were called to the bar in the 100 block of North Main Street at 1:53 a.m., after three men were asked to leave because they were spitting tobacco on the floor, and one of the men was reportedly so intoxicated he couldn’t stay awake.
As they were being escorted off the property, Bateman reportedly told staff members repeatedly, “I have a 9mm with your name on it.”
Bateman did not have any firearms in his possession, according to the police report.
