Bowling Green Police arrested a Toledo man on Friday (9/6) after he reportedly assaulted the boyfriend of his estranged wife.
Police were called to a residence in the 300 block of South Main Street around 2:38 a.m., for possible domestic violence. There they found Daniel Fields, 42, Toledo, who said he drove to BG to confront the boyfriend.
The boyfriend was no longer on the scene, and Fields had a gash on his forehead. Fields reportedly told police he had swung at the boyfriend, who then pistol-whipped him with a handgun.
Fields was taken to Wood County Hospital to be medically cleared, then was taken to Wood County Jail. Police noted efforts to locate and speak with the boyfriend.
