BG Police arrest two for allegedly stealing 107 items from Walmart

Two people from Kentucky were arrested Sunday afternoon after allegedly stealing 107 items, valued at $949.27, from Walmart, 131 W. Gypsy Lane Road.

Bowling Green Police arrested Hoker May, 38, of Jackson, Kentucky, as he walked away after reportedly refusing to stop for asset protection staff in the store. He was charged with theft/shoplifting, and on a nationwide warrant.

Police also arrested Teresa Salyer, 48, also of Jackson, who had been detained by the store’s asset protection staff. She had a previous theft offense.

The store was reportedly able to give police a video of the theft. Both May and Salyer were taken to Wood County Jail.
