BG Police arrest woman for OVI and child endangerment

A Toledo woman was charged Wednesday with OVI, speeding, expired registration, and endangering a child.

A Bowling Green Police officer pulled over Krystal Bibb, 31, for speeding on Napoleon Road, around 1:26 a.m. Dispatch informed the officer that Bibb had a suspended driver’s license.

When asked by the officer if she had been drinking, Bibbs reportedly said yes. Police reportedly found an open bottle of vodka in the passenger front seat, and her 4-year-old son in the backseat.

Bibbs was put into a police cruiser, where her son could not see, according to the report. Bibbs called her boyfriend to come get her son and vehicle.

At the police station, Bibbs reportedly agreed to take a breath test, which registered blood alcohol concentration of 0.151.

Police advised Bibbs to contact someone to take her home once the citations were completed. She was informed that she needed to show up in court on Monday. Bibbs reportedly told police she was moving to Florida this weekend, so she wouldn’t be attending court.

Police informed Bibbs that her court appearance was mandatory. Bibbs repeated her moving plans, so police took her back into custody so she could be transported to Wood County jail.

While being taken to the police car, Bibbs reportedly tried to ram her head into the wall. The officer stopped her from hitting the wall. She reportedly told the officer that she was going to take her life in the back of the cruiser, then stated she would say the officer raped her in the back of the cruiser.

The officer informed Bibbs that there is a camera in the back of the cruiser, and that his body camera was also on. Bibbs reportedly told the officer that she would say he beat her up at the police station. But the officer explained there are cameras at the station, and that his body camera had been on as well.

Wood County jail deputies placed Bibbs on a suicide watch.
