Bowling Green Police Division responded to nine loud party complaints over the weekend. Citations were issued for four gatherings with large groups of people attending.
Cole Clyne, 21, of 524 N. Enterprise St., was cited for holding a nuisance party Saturday around 12:30 a.m. When police first arrived, Clyne was informed that he was getting a warning for disorderly conduct and told to have guests leave and turn the music off. Clyne agreed to do so.
However, while the police officer was leaving the area to return to his patrol cruiser, he could hear the music turned back on in Clyne’s apartment. The officer returned and cited Clyne for a nuisance party. He then had the remaining guests leave the apartment and turned off the music.
Jonah Ellis, 19, of 722 Birch St., was cited for hosting a nuisance party Saturday around 12:02 a.m. When police arrived, there were 15 cars parked nearby, with most of them partially parked on front yards.
There were between 30 and 50 people at the party, with some of them reportedly jumping over the back fence into the backyard of another residence after police arrived. The party was shut down, according to the police report.
Travon Williams, 21, of 212 S. Summit St., was cited for hosting a nuisance party Saturday around 11:15 p.m. Upon arrival, the police officer observed a large gathering of people in the front yard, back yard and inside of the residence. The officer also said he observed a mass gathering of people exiting the residence and overflowing on the sidewalk in the 200 block of South Summit Street.
According to the police report, the music was excessively loud as was the noise from the partygoers. The party could be heard from the intersection of Lehman Avenue and South Summit Street.
The officer reported he also observed empty beer cans, glass bottles, and other trash littered all over the front yard and on the sidewalk directly in front of the residence.
Kyle Sikora, 21, and Christopher Klein, 20, of 140 Clay St., were both cited for disorderly conduct Friday around 9:44 p.m. Police responded after getting a loud music report, and found a large group of people gathered behind the residence.
In some cases, the residents were just given warnings for disorderly conduct because the gatherings had fewer than 10 people. Those parties were in the 800 block of Fifth Street, 300 block of Leroy Street, 200 block of South College Avenue, and two calls about a gathering in the 200 block of South Prospect Street.
