BG Police charge person in ski mask, who reportedly threatened boys with knife in restaurant

Bowling Green Police issued a citation for aggravated menacing and criminal damaging to an 18-year-old from Wayne, who reportedly threatened four juvenile males with a knife at a restaurant in the 1400 block of East Wooster Street.

Police were called by the boys Sunday (11/17) around 10:40 a.m., after they were reportedly threatened by two people wearing ski masks, with one carrying a knife.

According to the police report, the boys got in a verbal altercation with the masked female, Hevn Shyver, who was using the men’s restroom. Shyver reportedly left the restaurant, then re-entered carrying a knife and accompanied by a man in a ski mask. Shyver allegedly threatened to stab the boys in their chests.

According to the report, the boys fled the restaurant and got in a vehicle. Shyver allegedly swung the knife at one of the boys and damaged the rear passenger door with two slash marks.

The two people in ski masks then followed the boys in their vehicle.

The boys gave police a description of the car and the license plate, which was located by a license plate camera at South Main Street and Palmer Avenue.

Shyver reportedly told police that she was at the restaurant picking up a Door Dash delivery, when the boys verbally attacked her and made fun of her. She had to go back inside to get another order, so she told police she took the knife with her as protection. Shyver told police she did not intend to damage the vehicle.
