A Bowling Green man was cited Friday (1/19) for criminal damaging after he reportedly punched a door, shattering the glass, at a bar in the 300 block of East Wooster Street, around 2 a.m.
According to bar staff, the 21-year-old man came to the bar in search of his wallet, which he believed he left there. When informed that his wallet wasn’t there, he reportedly punched the door.
The cost to replace the glass was estimated at $475.
The following day, the man came to the police station, reportedly admitted to hitting the door, and was given his citation. He reportedly told police, “it was a stupid thing to do.”
