Bowling Green Police responded to an overdose Tuesday at 3:46 p.m., at a residence in the 800 block of Savoie Avenue.
Police found Michael Daniels, 33, of Bowling Green, in the backyard. He was breathing, but unconscious. Police gave him a dose of Narcan in each nostril, but he remained unresponsive.
Bowling Green Fire Division arrived at the scene and gave an IV of Narcan to Daniels, who then became conscious and alert. Daniels reportedly told the fire division that he had snorted prior to becoming unconscious.
Dispatch reported to officers that Daniels has four felony drug convictions. He refused further medical treatment by the fire division.
Inside the house, police located Tara Boucher, 40, of Bowling Green, who had a felony warrant from the Wood County Sheriff’s Office. She was taken to the Wood County jail.
Daniels was charged with felony drug abuse. On the way to the jail, Daniels told the officer that he would not tell who sold the drugs to him, but he did say that he had used fentanyl, which cost him $100 for a gram. Daniels said he had not used since May, and that he needs help.
At the jail, Daniels reportedly stated that he has overdosed four times. The jail staff said he would have to be medically cleared, so the fire division transported him to Wood County Hospital. After being medically cleared, a police officer took him back to the jail.
