BG Police Division investigates theft of firearms from vehicle

Bowling Green Police Division is investigating the theft of two firearms from a vehicle over the weekend.

A resident of the 300 block of Colony Lane reported that he had left a Glock 9mm pistol and an Anderson AM-15 rifle sitting in the back seat of his Cadillac, which was in the parking lot of his apartment complex.

The owner told police he had accidentally left his vehicle unlocked overnight. The pistol was reportedly inside the original Glock, black, hard plastic case that it was purchased in. The rifle was inside a tan colored, tactical rifle case.

The owner was able to provide the serial numbers of both firearms and they were entered into the Law Enforcement Automated Data System.
