Bowling Green Police Division is investigating a burglary of a home in the 300 block of North Summit Street.
The residents of the home had not been there for weeks, and reportedly received a phone call from a neighbor on Saturday, saying their kitchen window was open. The landlord checked on the house and reported multiple lights were on, multiple doors were open, the front door was unlocked, and the television was left on.
With the residents’ consent, police went through the house and found the dining room table broken, the living room disheveled, and a window screen and broken glass on the kitchen floor. The bedrooms of the home were also disheveled, and two holes had been knocked in the wall of one bedroom, according to police.
Upon walking through the house with the residents, it appeared the only item missing was a six-pack of lime White Claws from the refrigerator. There were other bottles and cans left throughout the house that did not belong to the residents. Those items were collected as evidence.
