Bowling Green Police responded to a report of a gunshot Monday morning (1/29) in the 100 block of South College Drive.
A woman in the parking lot at the Falcon Health Center, on East Wooster Street, reported hearing a gunshot to the south at 8:48 a.m. She told police that she hunts, and was certain it was a gunshot.
Police then received a second call from a resident on South College Drive that he heard a gunshot. Another person in the Falcon Health Center parking lot also reported hearing the shot.
Officers located a 40 caliber shell casing in the parking lot behind houses in the 100 block of South College. Police talked with residents in the area, and one reported hearing yelling before the gunshot, but officers were unable to identify who fired the shot.
The casing was submitted to evidence and will be sent to the lab for analysis.
