Bowling Green Police Division is investigating a reported sexual assault of a Bowling Green woman by a man just released from prison.

The woman came to the police station Thursday (11/7) afternoon after the man allegedly assaulted her around 2 a.m. that same day. The woman told police that she had gone to Lima to pick up the man, who was just released from prison. She brought him back to her apartment in the 2000 block of East Napoleon Road.

The woman reported that she woke up to find the man on top of her. She reportedly tried to push him off of her and told him to stop, but he did not.

After the alleged assault, the woman told him to leave, and she reportedly dropped him off at a Waffle House in Findlay.

The woman was advised to go to Wood County Hospital to have a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner kit examination. Police officers went to her home to collect evidence.
