Bowling Green Police Division responded to the sound of gunfire Sunday around 1:38 a.m., at 1467 Briarwood Drive, off the south end of Mercer Road.
Officers patrolling the area heard five gunshots and called for additional officers, Lt. Dan Mancuso said this morning. Three shell casings were located outside a residence there.
The incident is still under investigation, Mancuso said.
