Bowling Green Police Division is investigating a reported rape at a downtown bar Sunday around 1:30 a.m.
A woman told police she was standing at the bar in the establishment when an unknown man came up behind her and pushed her up against the bar and pulled down her pants and underwear from the back. She told police that she said “No” and pulled up her pants. The man then reportedly called her a vulgar name, pulled her pants down again, and pulled out his penis.
The woman and other witnesses at the bar described the man as in his 30s or 40s, bald with a mustache, wearing glasses and a flannel jacket, about 6-feet tall and around 300 pounds.
The woman was taken to Wood County Hospital for a sexual assault examination.
The woman’s friends reported that other female patrons at the bar had been talking about the man trying to sexually assault them.
