Bowling Green Police Division located a stolen vehicle in the 100 block of Lehman Avenue on Sunday around 1:30 p.m. The registration came back as a stolen Kia Rio out of Toledo. The unoccupied car was unlocked and the steering column was broken.
While at the scene, police were waved down by a Door Dash driver who said she had seen the Kia on South Main Street at Sand Ridge Road a little earlier. She told police she saw a tan truck hit the RIO from behind. The RIO then took off heading north driving erratically, striking a curb, then turning right onto Lehman Avenue.
The Door Dash driver followed the Kia to check if the driver was injured. The Kia driver reportedly told the woman he lived in the area, and left the scene on foot. The Door Dash driver was able to give police a description of the stolen car driver.
