Bowling Green Police Division pulled over a vehicle on Thursday and found a woman in the trunk.
Isaac Rider, 23, Bowling Green, arrested for felony violation of a protection order, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, and taken to Wood County Jail.
Police pulled over Rider’s vehicle around 11:50 p.m., when it was observed without a license plate light, leaving the parking lot of Ridge Park. A traffic stop was initiated after the car drove off the left side of the road.
The officer noted he immediately detected the odor of raw marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Rider was reportedly shaking and appeared nervous. He also kept looking in the backseat and reportedly told the officer his dog was in the back seat. But there was no dog in the back seat.
Officers searched the vehicle and found a small amount of marijuana and a marijuana pipe.
When officers opened the trunk they found a woman. Rider said he did not know the woman was in the trunk and had no idea how she ended up in the trunk.
Police found that the woman had a current protection order against Rider, and Rider had been convicted earlier in the month of violating the protection order once.
