BG Police respond to call for deceased man suspected of overdose

Bowling Green Police responded to a call for an unconscious male and another male in distress Wednesday (Sept. 6) around 4 p.m.

When officers arrived at the apartment in the 200 block of East Poe Road, they found one man who appeared to be deceased and another having a seizure. A third man staying in the apartment called 911 when he woke up and couldn’t rouse the others.

Bowling Green Fire Division tended to the man having a seizure, and declared the other man deceased. There were reportedly marijuana pipes, straws and aluminum foil pieces around the deceased man. The other man in the apartment reportedly told police that the other two had done methamphetamines the night before.

The deceased was taken to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office.
