Bowling Green Police Division responded to a business in the 400 block of Bishop Road for a criminal damaging report on Friday. Two company trucks had been damaged by someone attempting to take their catalytic converters.
A 2015 Gray Chevrolet Silverado had its catalytic converter sawed off. A 2010 Silver Chevrolet Silverado had a large portion of the exhaust system missing but not the catalytic converter. There was also additional damage done to other under body systems.
The repair cost for both vehicles was estimated at $1,700 each.
A motion/audio camera on the site reportedly showed the damage occurring on Feb. 26, around 11:08 p.m. The camera activated at that time, showing sparks underneath one of the vehicles.
