BG police respond to more spray painting downtown

Two more buildings in downtown Bowling Green have been sprayed with green paint.

Bowling Green Police Division was called to the Masonic Lodge at 159 N. Main St., on Wednesday afternoon. Four windows, a wall and the roof had been spray painted green with words like “kiss my ***” and “get high.”

It was unknown exactly when the criminal damaging occurred, but a Masonic Lodge official said it took place in the last couple days.

While an officer was checking on the paint at 159 N. Main St., he noticed more green paint next door at 135. N. Main St., at Tubby’s, a bar.

This is the third incident of criminal damaging with spray paint this year. In the other incidents, green or gold spray paint was used on buildings in the downtown area along South Main Street and along Pearl Street where several cars were sprayed.

Five teenagers have been charged with those incidents.
