Bowling Green Police Division responded to a report of a stolen catalytic converter on Wednesday.
A resident in the 200 block of South Mercer Road said that when she went to work on Tuesday she noticed her car sounded very loud. The next day, she was able to take it to a repair shop, where they showed her that the catalytic converter had been cut off and removed.
The cost for the repair was estimated at $600.
According to the police report, there have been numerous reports of catalytic converters being stolen in the last few days in surrounding cities.
