Bowling Green Police Division responded to a reported theft of tools from a pickup truck on Thursday, around 5:44 p.m.
A resident in the 300 block of Parkview Drive reported that tools had been stolen overnight from his pickup that was locked in his driveway. When he went out to check his mail, the owner said he noticed someone had entered his truck.
He told police the center armrest was opened and some of the contents were thrown on the floor and passenger seat. He stated a blue tool bag in the backseat was missing. The bag contained a red and black SnapOn cordless drill, a green Ryobi cordless drill, two batteries, a Craftsman socket set, an electrical tester, a bit set and miscellaneous screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers totaling roughly $650.
A circular saw, stapler, jigsaw and battery charger, that were out in the open, were left in the truck.
