BG Police respond to shoplifting reports at Walmart

Bowling Green Police Division responded to two reports of shoplifting at Walmart on Tuesday.

A woman was cited with theft after she reportedly went through the U-scan registers and used price tags for items under $1 while she bagged up items costing more. Among the items she allegedly shoplifted were an elf mini hemp kit, organic Indian healing clay, wooden planter, hoodie set, bra, leggings, and shampoo, with a total value of $96.86.

Police were also called for another shopper who went through the self checkout and “under-rang” pork chops costing $8. Walmart officials declined to press charges, and the man was given a criminal warning by police.
