BG Police respond twice to Third Street apartment for alleged assaults

Bowling Green Police were called twice to an apartment in the 1000 block of Third Street this weekend after a resident reported two incidents of assault.

On Saturday (2/8), around 11:30 p.m., a woman reported that when she returned from picking up her mail in the hallway, a male was leaving her apartment. A child in the apartment was reportedly found with marks on his neck, forehead, back and chest – and was transported to the hospital.

Police interviewed multiple people in the apartment complex, who the woman identified as possible suspects.

Then on Monday (2/10), the same resident called around 1 a.m., to report that she had been assaulted in her apartment. Police talked with the man, who said she accused him of bugging her apartment and placing cameras in her lights. He reportedly showed police his jacket, which the woman had sliced with a knife.

The woman told police she keeps the knife by her door because it does not lock properly.
