The Bowling Green Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a serious injury crash reported today (July 30) at approximately 2:48 p.m., at the intersection of U.S. 20 and Tracy Road in Lake Township, Wood County.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a Chevrolet Cruze, operated by Laura Lubinski, 50, of Toledo, was traveling southbound on Tracy Road. A Ford pickup, operated by Christopher Beekley, 49, of Perrysburg, was traveling westbound on Route 20.
The driver of the Chevrolet reportedly failed to yield at the stop sign and was struck by the Ford. Both vehicles traveled off the south side of the roadway where they came to rest.
Lubinski was transported to Mercy St. Vincent’s Hospital with life threatening injuries. Beekley was treated at the scene and released.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Perrysburg Township Police Department, Lake Township Police Department, Perrysburg Township Fire and EMS and VJ’s Towing.
