BG residents can call for pick up of storm damage brush

The City of Bowling Green will be conducting a storm damage brush collection for those locations that sustained significant damage from the straight line winds on Thursday. Residents who receive refuse and recycling services from the City of Bowling Green are eligible for this special storm damage brush collection.

Those needing assistance must call Public Works at 419-354-6227 beginning May 28 through May 31 in order to get on the schedule. Crews will begin collecting from those scheduled locations the week of June 3.

This special collection is for storm debris only. The intent of this special collection is to help residents with large limbs that fell as a result of the storm, not full trees from private property or trees removed by a contractor.

Brush or limbs not associated with the storm should wait for pickup during the regular brush collection that will occur in September or may be taken to the Wood County Landfill for a fee.
