Bowling Green Police responded Thursday to two businesses being broken into at the Woodland Mall, at 1234 N. Main St.

An employee at the Alehouse Grill reported finding the patio unlocked when she arrived at work. The bar had reportedly been burglarized. And inside, the sliding door to the mall was unlocked.

The employee noticed that both lottery machines had been forced open and her laptop computer was missing. Several pool balls had been thrown into a jukebox, and a petty cash box was missing. The losses were set at $400 in cash and $450 in computer equipment.

While taking a report of the break in at Alehouse, police were alerted to a break in at the B Family restaurant in the mall.

The owner said when he arrived at the store, the door to the business was open and the cash register was on the floor. The safe did not contain any cash, and none of the store’s product was taken.
