Bowling Green Board of Education has completed the search for one new administrator and begun the search for another.
During a special meeting Friday afternoon, the board voted to hire a new executive director of teaching and learning. Rachel Newell was hired to fill the position, previously held by Angie Schall. Newell will begin on Aug. 1, with a base annual salary of $103,000.
“We’re excited to add her to the administrative team,” Superintendent Ted Haselman said of Newell.
After the meeting, Haselman acknowledged that the school district has begun advertising to fill the role of assistant principal at Bowling Green High School.
Beth Utz, who has held the assistant principal position for the past year, has reportedly been approached about filling an administrative director role with Fostoria City School District.
