The Bowling Green Education Association, which serves as the affiliate for the Ohio Education Association at Bowling Green City Schools, has completed its internal process of polling which has led to an endorsement of three of the current candidates running for the open seats on Bowling Green’s Board of Education.

The internal process was completed by screening questionnaires that were sent to the candidates and then returned to the BGEA.  The members were then given each screening questionnaire and polled to decide the endorsement. The members were given a little over a week to make their decisions and record their votes.

A total of 79% of the voting membership elected to endorse candidates in the BG BOE race. The top three candidates receiving endorsement votes were Jill Carr, Ginny Stewart and Tracy Hovest.

BGEA would like to commend all of the candidates running for placing their name in this race for public office.  Regardless of who may be elected, BGEA will continue to work for the betterment of our students’ learning environment and the things necessary to produce tomorrow’s leaders, by teaching them today, in our classrooms.
