The City of Findlay has reported that an individual has been impersonating a City of Findlay employee, going door-to-door in Findlay purportedly seeking to enter the homes in order to perform a water quality test.
While this activity has not been reported in the City of Bowling Green, the City reminds residents that if someone identifying themselves as a City employee approaches their home, the individual will have identification showing them as a City employee and will also be in a marked vehicle.
If someone identifying themselves as a City utility employee approaches your home, residents are welcome to call the Utility Business Office during normal business hours (Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) at 419-354-6258 to confirm the person’s identity.
After-hours calls should be directed to the Police Division at 419-352-1131. Any suspicious behavior can be reported by calling the Police Division’s non-emergency line at 419-352-1131.
