A Bowling Green woman was arrested early this morning after police had to return to a residence three times in less than two hours for a woman reportedly damaging her boyfriend’s van.
Bowling Green Police Division arrested Sarah Bird, 42, for criminal damaging and took her to the Wood County jail.
Police were first called to the home in the 900 block of Conneaut Avenue around 11 p.m. Sunday for a report that Bird had damaged her boyfriend’s van. She admitted to police that she damaged the vehicle. The owner said he did not want to press charges.
Police were then called to the same address at 11:31 p.m. when the owner reported that Bird had done more damage to the van. The owner again said he didn’t want Bird charged. Police reportedly advised Bird that she would be charged if officers had to come back to the address.
At about 12:37 this morning, police were called back to the home after the boyfriend reportedly heard Bird beating on his van again. Police returned and arrested Bird.
