BG Women’s Club to learn about 2020 Caldecott Award winners

GFWC Women’s Club of Bowling Green will meet on March 4, at 7 p.m. at Heritage Georgian Room. The program for the evening will be a presentation and discussion by Kathy East and Carole Sarkan of the 2020 Caldecott award winning picture books for children just announced in January by the American Library Association.

Music Chair Donna Schmidt will introduce the music for the evening presented by students of BGSU music department.

President Susan Enright and members will begin the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance, after which Evelyn Bachman will provide the day’s inspiration. Hostesses for the evening are Sue DiBiasio and Susan Kurfess, with Bobbie Lane and Linda Myers.

A brief business meeting to update and plan ongoing club projects will follow. Bachman and Kay Heffernan will share news about upcoming Garden Group and Literature Group projects. The evening will conclude with the recitation of the GFWC Collect for Clubwomen.

The designated charity of the evening is the Wood County District Public Library. Specific donation requests are listed in Member Program Book.
