BGHS Baseball team beats Findlay, 8-1

Bowling Green Varsity Bobcats Baseball had all cylinders firing on offense on Tuesday, winning big over Findlay 8-1.

The Bobcats got on the board in the first inning when Jimmy LaForce singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

BG put up three runs in the sixth inning.  Bobcat batters contributing to the big inning included Ryan Jackson and Brent Boston, all driving in runs in the inning.

Nate Kress led the Bowling Green Varsity Bobcats to victory on the pitcher’s mound. The pitcher went five and two-thirds innings, allowing zero runs on four hits and striking out four.  LaForce and Boston entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Ben Best was on the hill for Findlay. The pitcher allowed six hits and five runs over four and a third innings, striking out two.  Mason Hoskins and Trace Robinson entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one inning and two-thirds of an inning respectively.

The Bobcats scattered nine hits in the game.  Jackson and LaForce each managed multiple hits.  LaForce and Jackson all had two hits to lead BG.

Best led Findlay with two hits in two at bats.
