A sexual assault report made by a woman who said a man raped her at a downtown bar on Jan. 29 has been recanted.
The sexual assault complaint was reported to the Bowling Green Police Division and was assigned to detectives for follow-up. After further investigation and gathering of evidence, the person who reported the sexual assault has recanted her original statements about what happened.
The investigation into the alleged sexual assault has been closed.
