Cody Clayton, a Bowling Green State University senior from Toledo, passed away on Friday, Jan. 31. He was 25 years old. His obituary states he died unexpectedly while in Cuyahoga County.
Clayton was pursuing a bachelor’s degree in visual communications technology and was expected to graduate in May. He worked at Mr. Spots in downtown Bowling Green and had been an intern with the Wood County Park District.
“We mourn his loss and share in his family and friends’ sorrow,” wrote BGSU President Rodney Rogers in announcing his death.

A gathering of his family and friends will be held Tuesday, Feb. 4 at Merkle Funeral Service, 9156 Summit Street, Erie Michigan.
