Bobcat baseball team beats Anthony Wayne, 10-1

Bowling Green Varsity Bobcat Baseball put up six runs in the fourth inning on its way to a 10-1 victory over Anthony Wayne on Tuesday.  Cam Deiter, Brayden Clauson, Ryan Jackson and Nate Kress powered the big inning with RBIs.

Anthony Wayne got things moving in the second inning, when an error scored one run for Anthony Wayne.

The Bobcats pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning.  In the third Clauson singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run and Kress doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

BG scored six runs in the fourth inning.  The Bobcats’ big bats were led by Deiter, Clauson, Jackson, and Kress, all driving in runs in the inning.

Kress led things off on the hill for BG. Kress allowed four hits and one run over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Dom Carlson was on the hill for Anthony Wayne. Carlson surrendered four runs on two hits over three and a third innings, striking out two.  Jackson Tober and Cody Keller entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively.

BG scattered nine hits in the game.  Deiter, Brady Gaines, and Clauson all managed multiple hits.  

Mitch Harder led Anthony Wayne with two hits in three at bats.
