Bojangles, a puppy that came to Wood County Dog Shelter as a stray, is ‘a complete sweetheart’

Bojangles, the 4-5-month-old puppy that came in as a stray, is waiting for a home at Wood County Dog Shelter.

“He is a typical puppy who will need training, but is as sweet as they come,” said Wood County Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding.

Bojangles loves other dogs, but is afraid of cats. He weighs about 25 pounds and should weigh 50-ish by the time he is full grown. He is neutered and up to date on his vaccines.

“He has been at the shelter for a couple weeks with no interest and we can’t figure out why,” Harding said. “He is a complete sweetheart.”

The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.

The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed. The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays.
