Bonnie J. O’Brien, 90, of Bowling Green, Ohio and formerly of Valparaiso, Indiana, passed away Friday October 21, 2016. She was born on October 5, 1926 in Valparaiso to John L. and Edith A. (Small) Podresky. She married Les O’Brien in 1979 and he preceded her in death.
Bonnie was a faithful member of the Methodist church in Bowling Green and Valparaiso. She was a member of P.E.O. and Tri Kappa Sorority. She was an avid reader and loved watching all sports. Her pride and joy was her beloved family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter Becky (Herb) Dettmer of Bowling Green, Ohio, grandchildren Katie (Ben) Mueller of Livonia, Michigan and Andy (Kate) Dettmer of Springfield, New Jersey, great-grandchildren Abigail, Christina and Josephine and step-great-grandchild Melodie.
Services will be private for the family. Dunn Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to Bridge Hospice, 1069 Klotz Road in Bowling Green.
