A customer tired of waiting on his breakfast order allegedly punched the drive thru window at the Burger King on East Wooster Street, Thursday (June 13).
Bowling Green Police were called to the business around 10 a.m. The customer had already left the area, but an employee was able to give police his license plate and description.
Burger King employees told police the incident began the day before, when the same customer came through the drive thru, and was asked to pull forward and wait for his food to be made. An employee said it took about three minutes to complete the order.
When the employee walked the food out to the customer’s car, the driver reportedly started cursing and screaming at the worker about the delay. The driver then allegedly exited his vehicle and approached the employee in “an aggressive manner.”
The restaurant staff decided to ban the customer from the store if he returned. When the man returned the next morning, he was told he had been banned from the store. The customer began yelling and cursing at an employee, then allegedly punched the drive thru window, causing it to come off the track.
Police were able to locate the 47-year-old man at a business he owns in the city. Police informed him that he would be arrested if he returned to the Burger King on East Wooster Street. He was given a criminal warning for trespassing.
