Bowling Green Police arrested a California woman Friday afternoon after she was reportedly found with a stolen rental vehicle.

A camera picked up the stolen vehicle as it was headed northbound on South Main Street from U.S. 6. An officer found the 2020 Dodge Journey in the Walmart parking lot, and saw a man and woman approaching the car.

The woman, Carmelina Lineburg, 51, of San Francisco, reportedly unlocked the car and entered the driver’s seat.

The man, Raymond Lineburg, 45, reportedly told police he had just been released from the Sandusky County jail that day, after being held for two weeks for driving the same vehicle.

The couple told police they had rented a car in Texas at the beginning of December, but had crashed that car and Enterprise replaced it with the Dodge Journey.

However, an officer contacted Enterprise, and was told that the Lineburgs had reported the vehicle stolen. The vehicle was supposed to be returned Dec. 13, and more than $1,400 was owed on the rental.

Carmelina Lineburg was arrested for receiving stolen property and taken to Wood County Jail. The vehicle was impounded.
