Candace A. “Candy” Snyder, 68 of Perrysburg, OH, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, Ohio with her family by her side. She was born August 3, 1954 to Allen R. and Mildred F. (Baxter) Runion, in Fremont, OH. On October 3, 1986 she married Lowell A. Snyder in Luckey, OH. Candy and Lowell raised 2 daughters and have celebrated 36 years of marriage together.
Candy worked in various service capacities including 14 years as a waitress for Bob Evans in Perrysburg. She enjoyed to cook, read, and spend time at the beach, whether it was White Star in Gibsonburg or South Haven MI. Of all her joys it was her family, especially her grandson and going to his track and field events throwing shot put and discus that gave her the most joy.
In addition to her husband Lowell, Candy is survived by her daughters: Amanda Rae (Sean) Snyder of Bowling Green and Corrie Jean Snyder of Dunbridge. Grandson, Carter Allen Snyder of Perrysburg and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as various half-brothers and half-sisters.
Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH. Candy will be laid to rest in Restlawn Memorial Park in Perrysburg. Memorials may take the form of contributions to: The American Cancer Society.
