Carrol J. Allison, 85, of Suffolk, Virginia and formerly of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away May 18, 2024. She was born December 19, 1938 in Bowling Green to the late Cecil and Chloris (Milliron) Hinesman. She married Charles “Tim” Allison on December 20, 1986 and he preceded her in death in 2013.
Carrol attended Mercy School of Nursing in Toledo, Ohio and spent her career working as a nurse at Wood County Hospital. Nurse. She was a life-long member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Bowling Green and a past member of the Eastern Star. Carrol enjoyed playing the piano, singing in the church choir and visiting local nursing homes to sing and teach bible study. She was an avid quilter and fond of camping with her friends and the love of her life, her husband Tim.
She is survived by her sister, Barbara (Hinesman) Miller, Latrobe, PA; son, Mike Crist, Toledo, OH, daughter in-law, Judy Crist, Portsmouth, VA; step-daughter Melissa (Allison) and Jerry Rapp, Hebron, KY; brother-in-law Eugene (Melinda) Allison, Cincinnati, OH; sister-in-law Sandra (Gary) Crosby, Chicago, IL; nieces, Jennifer (Miller) Kemnitz, Latrobe, Jean (Miller) McMahon, Latrobe, PA. grandchildren: Connie Crist, Toledo, OH; David and Chelsea (Crist) McClintock, Hartford, NC; Colleen (Crist) Nicholes, Gaston, SC and Caroline Schmidt Hebron, KY; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Along with her husband Charles “Tim”, Carrol was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Hinesman; mother, Chloris (Milliron) Hinesman; son, Kurt Crist; and step-son Stephen Allison.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday May 25, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 W. Wooster St. Pastor Andrea Curry will officiate. Interment will follow at Weston Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday morning at the funeral home from 9:30 until the time of her service at 11:00 a.m.
