Bowling Green Electric Division is continuing its efforts to determine the cause of a power outage late Wednesday (9-19) afternoon.
The outage occurred about 5 p.m. and lasted more than an hour. It impacted 35-40 percent of customers in Bowling Green and Portage.
The city reports: “At this time, the outage seems to have been an anomaly related to the relay control settings. Crews do not have an issue to point to (squirrel, accident, fire, lightning strike, high wind, etc.) that would have caused this.”
