Chad L. Buchanan, 32, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Friday, November 16, 2018. Chad was born on November 1, 1986 to Cathleen Newlove Wenig and Timothy A. Buchanan.
Chad is survived by his mother: Cathy (Gordon) Wenig of Bowling Green; father: Tim (Lisa Brichta) Buchanan of Bowling Green; sisters: Brittnay (Adam) Wise of Wayne; Stacie (Brian) Anderson of Bowling Green; grandma: Betty Wenig; niece: Audrey Anderson; nephews: Cooper Wise & Morris Anderson; and a large number of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Chad was preceded in death by his grandparents: John & Lydia Newlove; Archibald & Charlene Buchanan; Morris Wenig.
Chad graduated from Bowling Green High School in 2005 and went onto earn his Associates Degree in Marketing from Owens Community College in 2008 and Bachelors Degree in Sports Management from BGSU in 2010. He grew up being very active in 4-H and later earned his American Farmer Degree. He loved sports and was the assistant coach for the BGSU club hockey team. Chad enjoyed family vacations, rooting for the Red Wings & Lions, and caring for his cat “Simba”. Chad fought his addiction for a long time until it eventually took his life. He will be dearly missed by everyone that knew him.
Visitation for Chad will be on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 from 10:00AM until the time of his funeral service at 2:00 PM in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home Remembrance Chapel, 1460 W. Wooster Street/P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Tele: 419-352-2171. Pastor Scott Estep officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Bowling Green.
