Charles “Chuck” Frizzell, age 69, of Pemberville, OH, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Bowling Green, OH. He was born on July 24, 1946 in Toledo, OH to Robert and Marjorie (Dispennett) Frizzell. On April 23, 1971, he married the love of his life Vera “Sue” Preston in West Millgrove. For those that truly knew Chuck, he was a gentle soul and always thought things through regardless of the situation. He was a mentor to others and taught many life lessons over the years. Perhaps his most important lesson was the belief in community. This was evident from his days working for Modine Manufacturing, Pemberville Police Department, Bowling Green Police Auxiliary and a long, successful career at the Wood County Sheriff’s Office. As a strong supporter of the community, he volunteered for the Pemberville Freedom Fire Department, coached youth baseball for many years, served on the Pemberville Fair Board, and always supported Eastwood School District’s various activities. After his retirement, he found great joy in photography and developed a love of nature, especially eagles. Chuck was also an avid Buckeyes fan and loved spending time with his family and friends.
Chuck is survived by Sue, his devoted wife of 45 years; daughter Kimberly (John) Vaughn of Pemberville and son Robert (Kristy) Frizzell of Washington, NJ; and grandchildren Shelby, Trever, and Madison Vaughn and Owen and Olivia Frizzell who will all miss him dearly. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, April 24, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Marsh Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH where funeral services will be held on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 11 AM. Officiating will be Pastor Pete Johnson. Interment will be in Pemberville Cemetery, Pemberville, OH. Suggestions for memorial contributions are to Pemberville United Methodist Church, Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green or American Diabetes Association.
