Charles F. Koontz, 70, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Tuesday August 29, 2017 at Bridge Hospice in Bowling Green. He was born August 30, 1946 in Toledo, Ohio to Richard C. and Virginia (Hartman) Koontz Sr. He married Janet Frazier and she survives him in Bowling Green.
Charles worked for many years at Book’s Lawn Equipment in Bowling Green for Robert Book. In December of 1996 he ended up taking over the business from Larry Book. After retirement, he continued to enjoy going to the business and talking with customers and answering questions about fixing lawn equipment. Charles also work for A & P and the Flower House in Bowling Green.
Along with his wife Janet, he is survived by his sons Kenneth (Brittanee) Koontz of Northwood, Ohio and Eric (Arminda) Koontz of Bowling Green, daughter Angela (Matthew) Elder of Bowling Green, brother Richard (Rosie) Koontz of Bowling Green, sisters Carolyn Sue (Timothy) Lindamuth of Bowling Green, Jean Lawson of Texas and Jill (Alan) Hager of Michigan and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law.
Per his wishes there will be no visitation or public services. Dunn Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
