The Wood County Committee on Aging is currently scheduling its cholesterol screening clinics for March, for residents of Wood County who are 25 years and older. The cost is $20 for those 60 and over, $25 for those 25-59. These screenings require an appointment and pretest instructions.
The screening panel includes Total Cholesterol, HDL (good cholesterol), LDL (bad cholesterol), Triglycerides, Total Cholesterol/HDL ratio and a blood glucose level. Results will be immediately available and discussed with clients by a registered nurse.
The screenings are scheduled for:
- Wood County Senior Center, 140 S. Grove St, Bowling Green, from 9 to 11 a.m., on Friday, March 7; Tuesday, March 25; and Thursday, March 27.
- Perrysburg Area Senior Center 140 W. Indiana Ave., Perrysburg, from 9 to 11 a.m., on Friday, March 14.
- North Baltimore Area Senior Center, 215 N. Second St., North Baltimore, from 9 to 11 a.m., on Friday, March 21.
