Christmas Gala set for Pemberville Historic Opera House

It is with great enthusiasm that the members of the Pemberville-Freedom Area Historical Society announce their 2018 Christmas Gala. This festive event will be held Saturday, Dec. 1 from 7 – 11 p.m. at Pemberville’s Historic Opera House.

Highlights of the evening include: holiday musicians, hors d’oeuvres, specialty drinks and coffee bar. Guests will enjoy holiday musicians to include: The Bowling Green High School Madrigal Singers, Tony Marchese (violin,) Maggie Titus (vocals,) and Tapestry (harp and acoustic guitar) on both levels of the Town Hall/Opera House along with fancy appetizers and beverages amidst a delightful setting.

An array of 14 beautifully decorated Christmas trees will align and illuminate the Opera House walls in the most festive atmosphere with the theme “Christmas Around the World.”

An advance ticket purchase is required for attendance. Your $25 donation will benefit the local projects and annual operating budget of the Pemberville-Freedom Area Historical Society. Members are eager to share this village treasure and hope that many will add this wonderful event to their holiday party plans. Pemberville’s Historic Opera House is located at the corner of Front and Main streets, above the village offices in the Town Hall. This beautiful theater, originally built in 1891, was restored in 1999 and is available for rental. Most recently, the venue became fully handicap accessible with the construction of an elevator and upper level restrooms. The Opera House hosts “Live in the House Concert Series” from September through May on the first Saturday of each month.
